Probably the most handy Calendar extension for Mac and iPhone is QuickCal, which not only supports a very clean Menubar View similar to CalendarBar;

but allows you to enter Calendar appointments and to-do lists in real world language. For instance, typing “Lunch @ 2pm at Big Bite” will create an appointment for lunch at 2pm, with the location as Big Bite.

There’s also an iPhone version that lives on my homescreen.
