New iMacs Released – A Round Up of Performance Benchmarks

Yesterday Apple updated the iMac line of computers, and today we’re starting to see some of the benchmarks and performance boosts the new models have over their predecessors. The best summaries are as follows.

TUAW have a great comparison of old and new models.

Tidbits have a far geekier, in depth look under the hood.

Ars Technica notes the GPU of the new models is removable, as well as a few other interesting facts.

And Geekbench, via 9-5 Mac, has released benchmarks of the new machines.

Now we’re just waiting for the ArsTechnica review.

    Awesome, now i get to ask the minister of finance (wife) for a loan for new iMac! Time to upgrade the old Macbook anyway. Will we see a matte screen option? Steve
